The boat ride back.

This was just spectacular!

At this boat dock you load into the boat while it's on the trailer. The captain has to know his stuff because the surf is big and strong.

And we thing Maine had a rugged coast line!

Hawaii Adventure Continues

Thus was part of our 18 mile bike ride. We rode along the cost and ended up at a little place called Verns, where we ate lunch. From there we loaded into the van and drove to a hot springs. Then onto meet Eugene, who took us to see the lava flowing out of the rocks. Really busy, but amazing day.

The color of the water was just spectacular! The white dots that you see are birds called the red footed boobies. They are the only birds that nest in trees along the coast of Hawaii.  All the other birds nest in the cliffs.

View from a lookout. Waimea canyon. Beautiful colors.
